On Tuesday, March 17, Geronimo Power presented a $50,000 donation to the White River Valley School District during a public check presentation at White River Valley High School in Switz City, Indiana.
The moment marked an important milestone in Geronimo Power’s ongoing commitment to investing in the communities where it develops projects, including Greene County, where the company is advancing the Worthington Solar Project.
The presentation was brought to life through close collaboration between district leadership and the Geronimo Power team, led by Senior Development Manager Noura Hennen and Associate Project Developer Katie Nesheim, with a strong focus on student involvement and real-world learning.
White River Valley School District Superintendent Jason Walton expressed sincere gratitude for the contribution and emphasized the importance of using the presentation as a hands-on learning opportunity for students. By intentionally involving students, the experience became more than a ceremonial moment—it became an extension of the classroom.
That impact was on full display through Wolverine Enterprises, the district’s student-run program that provides real-world work experience while offering products and services to the community. Several student-led businesses played a role in supporting the presentation:
- The print department designed and produced banners featuring the Geronimo Power and Worthington Solar logos
- Wolverine Frozen Feast, a student-run culinary business, prepared refreshments for attendees
- The manufacturing department created custom charcuterie boards displaying the White River Valley logo
Student involvement across multiple areas of Wolverine Enterprises highlighted the program’s hands-on approach to learning and added meaningful depth to the presentation.
The $50,000 donation will directly benefit students, teachers, and families across the district and reflects Geronimo Power’s commitment to building lasting community partnerships alongside the Worthington Solar Project.
