When Central Cass Schools imagined new ways for students to learn, explore, and prepare for the future, community support helped move that vision from an idea to reality.

Through support from Geronimo Energy, now Geronimo Power, Harmony Solar committed $25,000 to the effort through five $5,000 donations made in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2025. As one of the campaign’s early donors, Harmony Solar helped build momentum for additional contributions from organizations and community members who shared the district’s vision.

That investment helped support Central Cass’s new STEM Center and Collaborative Active Learning Space, where students can explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on learning. Built to encourage curiosity, creativity, and teamwork, these spaces give students room to test ideas, solve problems, and connect classroom lessons to real-world opportunities.

Harmony Solar’s contributions were part of a larger community fundraising effort that generated more than $8 million in public and private support for a $29 million school improvement project. The broader project brought updated academic spaces, new classrooms, a greenhouse, expanded career and technical education programs, additional special education spaces, and facilities that serve both students and the wider community.

Central Cass Building Project Donors list

Today, Central Cass serves approximately 1,100 students across nine rural Cass County communities. School leaders have said the improvements have exceeded expectations, creating opportunities and experiences for students that reach well beyond what was first imagined.

The impact of a donation is not always visible right away. Sometimes, it takes shape over years, in classrooms, conversations, projects, and career paths students have not yet discovered. Through its commitment to Central Cass, Harmony Solar helped create spaces where students can explore new interests, build valuable skills, and imagine what comes next.
