Bee Hollow Solar Project
150 MW Solar
The Bee Hollow is a 150 megawatt (MW) solar project located in St. Clair County, Illinois. Bee Hollow will span over 1,300 acres and will be connected to the electric grid via the local substation. The project is anticipated to positively impact the local economy by producing significant tax revenue, project construction and operation jobs, and annual contributions through an education fund. The goal of the charitable fund will be to provide direct benefit and value to the entire community touched by the Bee Hollow Solar Project. Bee Hollow Solar is estimated to avoid approximately 219,100 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually during operation which is the equivalent of taking an estimated 51,100 cars off the road for a year or providing the equivalent electrical usage of an estimated 45,600 homes each year.
